I know you feel like nobody understands. I’ve been there too and it’s not nice. You might feel like nothing is going right and that the world is against you. Or if you feel that people are always judging you, and your life is on a downward spiral. So receive this: YOU ARE WORTHY AND SPECIAL!
All right, so your thoughts aren’t what you’d like them to be. Your emotions are everywhere. You feel too sensitive as far as criticism goes. You already know that’s not how you’re supposed to feel. Deep down inside, you know that you are worthy.
Then, there are days when you may begin your day self doubting. Having doubt, could be your subconscious telling you to consider all your options. However, when you are constantly doubting your abilities, could lead to procrastination.
You must first stop this negative spiral. Give up judgment. Accept that sometimes, you will have bad days (we all do). There’s no point in defining this time. With those thoughts firmly in mind, it’s time for you to let go and to know that you are worthy. Make it one of your goals to tell yourself that you are worthy.
Don’t ever tell yourself that you’re nobody. Never get hung up on perfectionism. If you do, you could fall into a destructive cycle of chasing perfection.
Whenever you think that someone else may give you what you need to feel good, then you open yourself up to disappointment. There are times when even your loved ones may let you down.
Even within the strongest relationship, it doesn’t make sense to use someone else to define who you are. This kind of thinking can keep you stuck. What if the person you were counting on is no longer a part of your life? What impact would that have on your self-esteem? Always remember that your experiences will often teach you valuable lessons. Harness those lessons and always know that there are brighter days ahead.
Now is the time to separate your actions from yourself. If you make an error, acknowledge it and continue. I must confess, that some of the mistakes which I have made in the past, have been blessings. If you have ever made embarrassing mistakes, then refuse to get rooted in shame or guilt. This only hurts you in the long run. There’s no profit in being a victim of past mistakes. Forgive yourself, know that you are worthy and put all your mistakes behind you.
One simple method to increase your self-esteem is to list things that you are good at. I can say from personal experience that writing is powerful. Get a journal or notebook and write. Another trick is to acknowledge your accomplishments. A careful examination of anything that makes you proud should remind you that you are worthy of it. Find more positive quotes here.
Try not to meditate on negative thoughts otherwise this can reverse all of your hard work that you already invested yourself. Every day is a new opportunity for a brighter day.
